UPDATE

Dear friends, it has been seven challenging months since we last saw many of you at the Grand Central Oyster Bar. As we re-opened on September 30th we relished the opportunity to be of service again, and fill your hearts, and ours, with joy and do what we do best; offer an amazing experience to our beloved New Yorkers and to our friends from all over the world.

Today, however, we must, temporarily, close again due to the lack of traffic and business implicitly, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

We do have a promise for all of you! We will come back stronger and with an even bigger desire to serve you.

COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

WELLNESS CHECKS
  • All employees are required to stay home when sick.
  • All staff members are required to have their temperature checked. A temperature log will be kept for twenty-eight days.
  • All guests are required to have their temperature checked at the front door.
  • All guests are required to sanitize their hands upon entering the restaurant.
  • One guest member will be required to provide the restaurant with contact information for tracking if needed.
USE OF PPE
  • We will provide all staff members with masks, train them in the proper use and care of them to ensure compliance.
  • All guests will be are required to wear masks when not seated.
SOCIAL DISTANCING & ENHANCED SANITATION REQUIREMENTS
  • We have reduced our seating capacity to 25% to ensure physical distance is maintained across all areas of the restaurant.
  • 6 feet apart floor signs will be posted throughout the restaurant.
  • Different doors will be used for entering and leaving the restaurant for our staff and guests.
  • All restrooms’ occupancies will be monitored and sanitized every ½ hour.
  • Common areas will be deeply cleaned daily.
  • Tables & chairs will be cleaned and sanitized after each use.
  • Sanitizing stations will be placed through the restaurant.
TABLE SETTING
  • Tables will be set 6 feet apart to ensure social distancing.
  • One Time menu or contactless menus will be provided to every guest.
  • Each guest will be provided with sealed or wrapped utensils.
  • Contactless payment will be available.
COMMUNICATION & TRAINING

In a rapidly changing environment with heightened concern for both our staff and guests, we are committed to consistently communicate and educate them.
